Personally, I have hung up my online dating hat. But I still found this article very interesting and amusing. And so I thought I would pass it along to all of my girlfriends that I know are trying to meet men this way as well.
I have never done a criminal check on a guy. But I have googled him, checked the sex offenders datbase, and (in a very few cases) subtlely found a way to get his resume so I can see if his story checks out.
I've met some livewires in my time, but thankfully, nothing that conjures up images of rape or murder.
does anyone know of any background check sites that are reliable? I have never tried one. Do they just take your money and then guide to publicly available sites and you do the work?
