Miss Potter

Miss Potter, starring Renee Zellweger, Ewen McGregor, and Emily Watson
2 thumbs up, 4 stars, and all my love

A movie about a 32 year old single female author whose mother doesn't understand her or her views on men and dating? Yeah, there was a little bit in there I could identify with. Have you ever cried in a movie because you just got it? It just struck a chord in you? You felt like it was your life up on the screen (just 100 years ago and in Britain- which of course is where you would rather be anyway)?

It's Jane Austen meets Bridget Jones in a real life story, starring an actress you actually find believable. I just loved it, that's all I can say! I loved it! It's beautifully filmed. It has great one-liners that just hit home with me. And as a fun little perk, Mr. Collins from the BBC Pride and Prejudice shows up in a small role.

I know it won't be for everyone. But for me, this movie is officially for now and for always, my new favorite movie.

  2. I didn't have my phone with me in the gallery, and we didn't get out of the Phillips Collection until right at 5:00. We were talking about going though.
