Mom: I need to figure out what I'm going to wear on the plane tomorrow.
Me: I know what you mean. You have to dress both for the temperatures at your departure and destination. I always bring extra socks so my feet don't freeze on the plane.
Mom: I always try to think of what can I wear that is both warm enough for the plane, comfortable, works where I am going, and if the plane were to crash would let me move freely so I could escape and survive outside until help came.
Me: You actually make contingency plans for a plane crash?
Mom: Always!
Me (incredulous): I can't even imagine thinking like that. I'm putting this on my blog- in the form of a question of course.
Question: Do you ever think and act in terms of contingency plans for plane crashes? For instance, do you plan your wardrobe around it? Make sure you have certain survival items in your carry on? etc.
