More Squigs
This is pretty much Squiggy's favorite thing to do all day. If he isn't curled up under my chin he's busy attacking my hands and feet. I'm covered in scratches. I wasn't planning on declawing him, since there's a puppy coming soon, and the claws seemed necessary. But I am starting to reconsider that option now. He's already proven that he's able to claw up my bare legs, hop onto my dress, and climb up to my shoulder. It was cute the first time. Not so much every time since then.
In spite of my whining, I think he's a pretty darn cute cat. I'm glad I got him.

I've done something today I've never done before in my 10 years of blogging here. I've deleted the post that was here, but I...
Ahhhh...How cute! I wanna cuddle with him.
ReplyDeleteDo NOT declaw him. It's just plain cruel. Imagine if someone clipped off the last joint of your fingers--that's what declawing is. Just clip his claws with cat clippers and give him a good place that he's allowed to scratch. Once you introduce him to a scratching post that allows him to do his instinctive behavior (scratching/kneading is what cats do to renew their claws), then they'll be less likely to scratch *you*.
ReplyDeleteAlso, check out Feliway--it's great for spraying on your couches, computer cords, anything you don't want scratched or bitten. It's the feremones from their cheek glands, the ones that tell them this is the thing to rub up against (like when they polish your ankles).
Course, I know you didn't ask for this, but I feel pretty strongly about it, if you can tell. I have a few links I can send you on cat care, if you want. (I'm out of town right now and don't have access to my favorites.)
What a cute little kitty!! I love how they curl up right next to you! So adorable:)
ReplyDeleteI love the kitty too! And, PLEASE...don't get the cat de-clawed. It's a very painful procedure for them and it's just horrendous.
ReplyDeleteIf you're still strong on doing it, at least PLEASE pray about it first.
Hope to see more pictures of the baby! :)
Squiggy...are you a fan of Laverne & Shirley?
Holy cuteness batman!
